Position Overview:
Cascade Middle School is seeking a passionate and dynamic teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year.
This position will primarily serve as our ELA Intervention Teacher for grades 6-8 reading with additional courses in
creative writing. The specific content area may be flexible depending on the applicant’s licensure and experience, but
a strong ability to build relationships, manage a classroom effectively, and engage students is essential.
Responsibilities Include:
? Delivering engaging, standards-based instruction
? Creating a classroom culture of respect, growth, and high expectations
? Using data to drive instruction and adjust teaching strategies
? Collaborating with colleagues to support student learning and school initiatives
? Maintaining clear communication with students, parents, and staff
? Participating in professional development and contributing to school improvement efforts
Qualifications:
? Valid Indiana teaching license (or the ability to obtain one by the start date)
? Secondary certification in English
? Experience working with high school students preferred
? Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
? A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
