Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, student-focused Science teacher to join our team. Priority consideration will be given to candidates with credentials and/or experience teaching Physics and Chemistry. The ideal candidate builds strong relationships, engages students in hands-on learning, and creates a positive, rigorous classroom environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach high school science courses, with emphasis on Physics and Chemistry (other courses may be assigned based on background and scheduling needs).

• Develop and deliver high-quality lessons aligned to Indiana Academic Standards.

• Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

• Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.

• Participate in professional learning communities, department collaboration, and school-wide initiatives.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana Teaching License in Secondary Science or the ability to obtain proper certification.

• Endorsements in Physics and/or Chemistry are strongly preferred.

• Strong instructional skills, classroom management, and student-relationship building.

• Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and positive school culture.
